Tekashi 69 Gets His Sentence: He Will Serve 24 Months In Jail And Five Years Of Supervised Release

June 2024 · 2 minute read

A couple of days ago, word on the street and not only was that Tekashi 69 was about to be released from jail. Fans were really excited following this piece of news.

The Shade Room shared a video a few days ago, pointing out at the fact that the young rapper could be out on the streets in a couple of days.

But it seems that after all, the final sentence is in, and it looks a bit different. Still, it’s less than people were expecting.

The Shade Room posted: ‘Despite previous reports of him possibly being released on a time served verdict, he will remain behind bars. Judge Engelmayer acknowledges that Tekashi did a great thing by cooperating with the feds, but he says he doesn’t believe 13 months behind bars is a harsh enough sentence for the crimes he took part in.’

They also reported that the judge said the following: ‘I cannot agree with your counsel that time served is appropriate. In my judgment, your conduct is too violent and selfish.’

‘The judge’s verdict is in! #Tekashi69 will serve 24 months in prison with five years of supervised release!’ TSR reported after that.

The young rapper’s fans were still happy for him, but haters believe that this is an injustice.

Someone said: ‘If he were dark-skinned he would have got 50 years,’ and another follower posted this: ‘This man must have God as his lawyer.’

One other follower said: ‘Lol all that snitching and still gotta do two years.’

Someone else said: ‘Free him. He’s cooperated and done everything above and beyond. Allow him to live his life now.’
