Nicolas Cage has filed for an annulment from his wife, Erika Koike after just four days, entering the halls of Hollywood’s shortest-lived marriages once again. Yes, you see, not only is Nick Cage making history but he’s doing it for a second time. When it comes to the shortest Hollywood marriages, this is Nicolas Cage’s second time making the list. This is the Oscar-winner’s fourth marriage and his marriage to Lisa Marie Presley only lasted three months.

Here are some other Hollywood celebrities who will go down in history for tying then untying the knot in record-breaking time.

One of the shortest Hollywood marriages in history was between Britney Spears and Jason Alexander. He was her childhood friend and the marriage lasted a total of 55 hours or approximately two days before it was over and done. Brit said she didn’t fully understand what the marriage entailed and was able to get out of it.

Next up is Carmen Electra and Dennis Rodman. It appears this may have been an alcohol-fueled romance that resulted in a Las Vegas marriage that was annulled nine days later. Though the couple had dated for nearly a year prior.

Another marriage that lasted nine days and took place in Las Vegas occurred between Cher and rocker Greg Allman. Cher had rushed into the marriage following her divorce from Sonny Bono, but apparently, Allman’s rocker lifestyle was too much for her to deal with. After nine days, she called it quits.

Charlie Sheen and Donna Peele were married for approximately six months before calling it quits.

While quickie marriages are nothing new in Hollywood (Ethel Merman and Ernest Borgnine were married for 32 days in 1964) they are still surprising, especially when a couple has dated for a while or has gone public with their relationship.

Sometimes the reasons for annulments are due to being intoxicated during the time of the marriage and not carefully planning the financials related to marriage in advance. Other times, they are just poor choices at ill times.
