The dramatic events surrounding R. Kelly and what he did might be tragic for him and his victims, but this brings a lot of cash and popularity for others.
Lifetime, for instance, decided to make a follow-up for the first documentary called ‘Surviving R, Kelly’ following the success of the series.
Here’s the latest information on the subject as it was reported by The Shade Room and their sources.
TSR cites info from Variety and reports that Rob Sharenow, the president of programming for the A+E Network has just revealed the new special during the Television Critics Association summer press tour.
‘He said that the new special will consist of four parts and will feature interviews from new survivors, psychologists, and experts on the Kelly case,’ TSR writes.
You are probably aware of the fact that not too long ago, Lifetime debuted their six-part docuseries called ‘Surviving R. Kelly.’
The series ‘covered the accusations against the singer, and featured interviews from the multiple women that have accused him over the years,’ says TSR. Now, the follow-up is in the works.
People say in the comments that this might be a bit too much since he’s already in jail and they got the picture already.

A person also believed that ‘Y’all doing too much. He’s in jail…your goal is achieved. Now you’re just pushing him to suicide.’
One commenter wrote: ‘Can they just put his butt behind bars and be done?! What else could another sit down with him reveal that we don’t already know? 🤦🏽♀️’
