Every closet needs a few tried-and-true pieces that can be thrown on with anything; they streamline dressing and keep closets from overcrowding. The shoes, which Jennifer Lawrence has also made her year-round footwear staple, add a cool touch to just about everything. They make sweatpants feel more dressed up and give flowing dresses a more everyday feel. 

But Sambas aren’t the only thing Holmes has been loyal to; she often pairs those celebrity-loved sneakers with the aforementioned Madewell’s tote. Her plum-hued leather bag is oversized and slouchy, giving it that same “worn and loved” look that’s signature to the Olsen twins and their beat-up Birkins. And just like her sneakers, the bag is a functional-meets-fashion staple most of us could probably use for our day-to-day life.
