The world of pop music has an untrue perception of being filled with divas and over paid stars acting big headed, but three women in particular are bucking the trend of diva demands and are instead solely focused on making their fans happy.
These women are, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, Shania Twain, and Selena Gomez, these women are, strong, talented, kind, down-to-earth, generous, beautiful and always always make time to interact with their fans, whether that is chatting to their supporters at a concert, taking a selfie or just sending a simple tweet to a loyal fan on Twitter, all these gestures connect them to the people who buy their music and make them even more relate-able.
Despite all coming from different countries and age groups, Cheryl,32, Shania, 50, and Selena 23, all share very similar background stories and are all very proud of where they grew up, all three women are from poor families, and they have all overcome obstacles to become the inspiring women they are today.
Cheryl grew up on a council estate in Newcastle and her family didn’t have much money but their home was filled with love and support and Cheryl managed to make her dreams a reality and is now a record breaking pop-star. She proves that no matter where you come from, anything is possible if you believe in yourself.
Shania had a tough childhood growing up in Timmins Ontario in Canada, she and her siblings were very poor and there was often violence between their mother and father in their home, but Shania managed to move to Nashville after taking care of her younger brothers, after their parents had tragically died in a car accident, and made a career for herself. She has since gone on to sell over 85-million records worldwide and is the biggest selling country artist of all time. She proves that no matter how hard a time you may have had, if you work hard to make your dreams come true, then they will.
Selena grew up in Texas with her mother and father and although they were not wealthy they always made sure that Selena was able to follow her passion for acting. And at age seven Selena won an acting role in Barney. She has since gone on to achieve huge success in both acting and music. She proves that regardless of your upbringing or how much money you have, you can achieve anything.
All three singers are also very charitable and both Shania and Cheryl have even set up their own charities, Cheryl’s is the Cheryl’s Trust, which has been set up to help unemployed and disadvantaged young people get their lives on track, and Shania’s is called Shania Kids Can which is a charity which helps children in schools who are struggling with various problems at home including poverty. While caring Selena is an ambassador for UNICEF.
These three women prove that anything is possible if you believe in yourself and work hard, no matter what life throws at you or what obstacles are put in your way, you can make you dreams a reality.
