Brian Tyree Henry, who is best known for appearing as Alfred, a.k.a. Paper Boi in the TV series called “Atlanta,” is an American actor who has been active in the film industry since 2007. Henry is also known for appearing in “Windows” and “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.” In 2018, he won a Tony Award for his excellent performance in “Lobby Hero.” 

Early Life and Bio

Brian was born on March 31, 1982, in Fayetteville, which lies in Northern Carolina. His father worked for the military, and his mother, Willow Dean Kearse, worked as a teacher. Brian and his mother were very close, and he often helped her decorate classes in the summer. He has four older sisters. He completed his high school education at E.E. Smith High School. Brian initially studied business at Morehouse College but later shifted to acting. He graduated with a master’s degree in acting from taking the School of Drama.

In 2015, Brian Tyree Henry made his film debut with “Puerto Ricans in Paris” alongside Rosie Perez, where he played Spencer’s role. After that, he acted as Mike in “Person to Person” and worked as Mashup in the biological crime drama “Crown Heights” in 2017. He served in seven films in 2018. First, he worked in Benji’s role in the romantic comedy-drama film titled “Irreplaceable You”  alongside Christopher Walken. Next, he portrayed the role of Pete in the comedy film titled “Family.” Finally, in “Hotel Artemis,” he appeared as the character called Honolulu.

He played Alfred “Paper Boi” Miles in 22 episodes of “Atlanta” from 2016. From 2016 to 2017, he acted as Dascius Brown in 3 episodes of “Vice Principals.”

In 2017, he acted in 3 TV series. He played the role of a public defender in “How to Get Away with Murder” alongside Virginia Gardner and Kelen Coleman. In “This Is Us,” he portrayed the role of Ricky. He also made an appearance in “Drop the Mic.” In 2018, he voiced Cooper Wallace, Jr. in an episode of “BoJack Horseman” alongside Angela Bassett and  Nicole Byer.

Brian Tyree Henry likes to keep his personal life a secret, and not much is known about it. However, as of September 2020, it is speculated that he isn’t dating anyone, and he is straight. In 2016, the “Atlanta” episode titled “Woods” was made a tribute to his mother, who passed away the same year.
