On Sunday, London’s O2 Arena played host to night two of Capital’s Jingle Bell Ball. After stellar performances from the likes of Liam Payne, Ellie Goulding and David Guetta on the Saturday, it was time for even more phenomenal artists to take to the stage on night two of the Ball.
Sunday’s line up included Little Mix, Cheryl, Jason Derulo, Sigala and more, all of whom put on a spectacular show for the sold out crowd. To celebrate the biggest Christmas party of the year, we’ve rounded up ten of our favourite moments from night two of Capital’s Jingle Bell Ball.
Sigala gets the party started
Who better to kick off night two of Capital’s Jingle Bell Ball than Sigala? The DJ delivered a set full of bop after bop, whilst also bringing out Paloma Faith for ‘Lullaby’ and Ella Eyre for ‘I Came Here For Love’ and ‘Just Got Paid’. There’s no doubt that he managed to bring the party atmosphere to the O2 Arena.
Years & Years serve an aesthetically pleasing set
From costumes to choreography, Years & Years always deliver an aesthetically pleasing set and their performance at the Jingle Bell Ball was no different. Frontman Olly Alexander stunned in a sparkly costume whilst performing striking choreography with the dancers.
Mabel brings the sass
Rising star Mabel proved why she is one of pop’s hottest properties right now with a fantastic set including ‘Finders Keepers’, ‘Fine Line’ and ‘My Lover’. We particularly loved her sassy anthem ‘Finders Keepers’.
Zara Larsson delivers a pitch perfect set
Swedish pop sensation Zara Larsson brought the house down with a pitch perfect set including ‘Ruin My Life’, ‘Lush Life’ and ‘Never Forget You’. All of the songs provided singalong moments for the audience, whilst Zara showcased her powerhouse vocals and fierce dance moves. We are living for the attitude throughout ‘Ain’t My Fault’!
Clean Bandit and Marina join forces for ‘Baby’
Clean Bandit came armed with energy and huge hits for their set, including ‘Solo’, ‘Rockabye’, and ‘Symphony’ with Zara Larsson. However, our favourite moment was when they brought out Marina to sing their latest collaboration ‘Baby’ – Marina sounded like an angel.
Jax Jones and Olly Alexander light up the stage
Jax Jones was joined by Years & Years’ Olly Alexander during his set, with the pair performing their new single ‘Play’. Jax and Olly delivered plenty of good vibes and synchronised dance moves which went down a treat with the crowd.
Jess Glynne
After a sensational introduction, Jess Glynne burst onto the stage to perform a plethora of her biggest hits. It’s hard to pick a particular highlight, although the uplifting ‘Don’t Be So Hard On Yourself’ will always hold a special place in our hearts.
Cheryl makes her JBB comeback
It’s been six years since Cheryl last performed at Capital’s Jingle Bell Ball so her performance this time around was highly anticipated by many. Cheryl absolutely smashed her set, and wowed the audience with a stunning entrance, incredible vocals and iconic dance routines which we were definitely trying on emulate on the arena floor.
Jason Derulo blows our minds with his opera singing
We just can’t get enough of Jason Derulo singing opera. After his performance at the MTV EMAs, we were truly excited to see Jason in the flesh and were particularly looking forward to his performance of ‘Goodbye’. He didn’t disappoint, and blew our minds once more with an opera opening before bursting into full dance mode.
Little Mix prove that they are Queens of the Jingle Bell Ball
WOW, pretty much sums up what we thought about Little Mix’s Jingle Bell Ball set. Without doubt the queens of the Ball, Jesy, Perrie, Leigh-Anne and Jade served looks, choreography and sensational vocals for days. Whilst Little Mix always put on a brilliant show, their set on this occasion was definitely on another level. We’ve never seen the lovely ladies look so confident, and it definitely showed when it came to them nailing some of the most impressive high notes we’ve ever witnessed from them.
